Phoenix ASC started playing in the Nigeria Nationwide League in the 2015/2016 League season but unfortunately, the team got relegated and will ply its trade in the Division 2 of the League One as the Nigeria Nationwide League is called in the 2016/2017 league season. Phoenix ASC team is made up of players with average age of 17 the oldest being just above 18 years while the youngest is just clocked 13.
ANAS BABI MUHAMMED (A50203732)
A versatile Right Full Back who can also play as a Center Back was born on 19/06/1998 in Bauchi, Bauchi State, a Northern State in Nigeria. Babi started playing football right from his primary school days and was part of the Nigeria National U-13 team that took a tour of UK in 2010.
While in UK, Babi and his colleagues defeated all youths teams of Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC etc. to win the Trophy in the tournament they took part in. He joined our organization in 2011 and later joined Ekiti United FC on loan between 2013 and 2016.
He went on to represent Nigeria at the U-17 African Nations Cup in 2012/2013 and later made the 23 man list of the Nigeria National U- 20 team alongside Kelechi Nwakali, Victor Osinmhen etc. in 2016.Babi stands at 5ft 9 and weighs 67kg, he is currently with FC Abuja, a National League football club based in Abuja, Nigeria.
BANKOLE ADEKUOROYE (A 2012415)
He is a powerful midfielder who loves to marshal the game from the center of play. He was discovered during his school days at the Ekiti State College of Education, Ikere Ekiti and joined our club in 2011.
Bankole was born into the family of athletes as his sister is a current National Wrestling champion in Nigeria. He was born in 19/02/1998 in Akure, Ondo State. He played with Ekiti United FC, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State between 2013 and 2015. He currently plays in Portugal with FC Felgueiras.
ALIMI SUNDAY (A 2815632)
He was discovered by our organization during a secondary school football competition in 2010. He is a fast pace winger who can also play from the Right Full Back. He was born on 12/6/1999 in Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State. He has been a strong member of our youths team and was part of the squad that won the state league in 2013. Sunday featured for the Nigeria National U-17 team that won the FIFA Youths World Cup in Chile in 2015. He is 5ft 6in tall and weighs 62kg, he is currently with Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, Benue State, a Premier League side, a club he has been with since 2016
TOLULOPE OJO
Tolulope Ojo is a young versatile attacker who can play anywhere in the attacking line, either as a center forward or as a winger. He was born on 01/06/2000 in Ire Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He joined our organization in 2011 and has won many laurels with the club one of which is the state league in 2013.
He is the All time Highest Goal Scorer in Phoenix ASC with more than 30 goals . He scored 6 goals in 8 matches in the 2015/2016 League Season. He is currently on loan at Aare Afe Babalola FC , a National League side based in Ekiti State for the 2016/2017 league season .
