Ekiti sports comes alive again with Bet9ja Foundation Triple Slam

The Bet9ja Foundation Triple Slam, BFTS, scheduled for Saturday, April 20 has received massive engagements, as the organizers revealed that more than a dozen packs from various tertiary institutions in Ekiti have been confirmed to participate in the event.

It was revealed that the idea of fusing sports and entertainment, encapsulating rap music, dance and basketball which was facilitated by the former Chairman of Ekiti State Football Association who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Athletics Sports limited, Mr. Bayo Olanlege was widely accepted among youths in Ekiti state and beyond.

According to Olanlege, the following are the packs that have been screened to participate in the event expected to commence by 10:00am at Afe Babalola University Sports Center Ado Ekiti are ; Invaders of Government Technology College Ikole, DCrushers EKSU, Top Ballers EKSU, River Dragon EKSU, Timber Wolves Federal Polytechnic Ado and BOESTI Titans.

Others include EKSU Phantom Warriors, Black Knight Wolves, Federal Polytechnic Ado, Phantom Wolves, The Wolves Hoopers and Rim Rockers, Ondo State.

The event will allow a pack of adults, 18 years and above consisting of men and women rappers, dancers as well as basketball players.

Speaking on how the event will add value to Ekiti state, Olanlege explained that the whole idea is hinged on face-lifting the sport and entertainment sector in the state, making Ekiti an attractive to the other parts of the world.
